Our Team...
We are an active and dedicated team of volunteers who work together with Revd Beverley to offer a warm welcome to all in our worship, through fellowship and by our mission to the community and further afield.
Church Wardens
The PCC
The PCC is made up of the wardens, chairs of the various committees, representatives of the Deanery Synod, a Safeguarding officer, a treasurer, secretary and up to 6 elected members. Collectively they manage the church’s finances and activities under Revd Beverley’s chairmanship. The work of the PCC is regulated by its registration with the charity commission and all its affairs are made public at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting held before the end of April each year.
Current PCC members are: Maggie Williams, Lynda Hawkins, Richard Berrett, Dave Pickett, Jennie Bonner, Geraldine Sansom, Jennifer Goddard, Beth Grand, Jenny Jeffery, Linda Basford and Janet Pickett.
PCC Secretary and Treasurer
Richard Berrett is the PCC secretary and organises the office administration along with Lynda Hawkins and Ron Spencer who is our reprographics volunteer.
Dave Pickett is the PCC treasurer.
Jennifer Goddard –
Family And Children’s Team (FACT)
and Safeguarding Officer

Jennifer is responsible for coordinating all the work of the FACT team and for monitoring our training needs related to safeguarding. Jennifer keeps an up to date log of all safeguarding matters and maintains the parish policy. We are so pleased that we have regular contact with the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who meet in our hall and we also support the Pre-school and the Vale School through assembly and occasional services.
Maggie Williams – Social Committee
Maggie chairs this very active committee who organise our many and various social and fundraising activities during the year. See our magazine or news page for upcoming events.
Mission Committee
This committee coordinates our support to the following missions; Worthing Churches Homeless Projects; QAHH; the Church Army Marylebone Project in London; St James’ School, Maisaka in Sierra Leone. During the year we also support the Church of England Children’s Society through our Christingle Service; the Royal British Legion at Remembrance time; the Mission to seafarers.
Mission is chiefly about how we live out our lives each day in Jesus name; how we touch the lives of others through compassion, love and kindness to our family, friends, work colleagues and neighbours.
Francesca Byrne – Music Coordinator
Francesca coordinates the music life of our churches and leads the choir.
We are all volunteers and sing for the love of it.
If you enjoy singing or play an instrument and would like to join us
please send us an e-mail.

Retired Clergy
We are delighted that we have on our team Revd Dr Crispin White who helps us regularly with the 8.30am Eucharist at St Peter’s and also Revd Bob Whittle and Revd George Butler who also help us with services.
