Discipleship
 

We are all encouraged to grow in our faith and relationship with God but this is not always easy to do on our own.

 

We try to offer opportunities as the year unfolds to meet together to share ideas and to find out more about faith and how it relates to our lives. We usually have study groups during Lent and Advent and there are opportunities for people to prepare for baptism and confirmation too.

The prayer of St Richard reminds us what it means to be a disciple and whose disciples we are. In simple terms we need to know, love and follow Jesus more each day.

our Lord Jesus Christ,
for all the benefits

which you have given us,
for all the pains and insults

which you have borne for us.
Most merciful Redeemer,

Friend and Brother,
may we

know you more clearly,
love you more dearly,
and follow you more nearly,
day by day.   Amen.
